Camila Ochoa is an Argentine footballer from Mar del Plata who plays as a midfielder. She has represented Argentina at Under-20 level.
School initially stopped Camila from moving permanently to Buenos Aires, so she travelled to Independiente for one week every month, trained with the team and then returned home.
When Camila finally moved permanently to Buenos Aires, she did it alone and without her family, with learning to live away from home becoming one of the hardest parts of the transition.
Camila was already playing for Cadetesβ U15 team at just 12 years old, competing against girls several years older than her.

Before ever receiving an Argentina call-up, Camila described wearing the national-team shirt as the thing she wanted most from her football career.
When her dream eventually led to a U20 World Cup, Camila thought beyond herself β wishing that every female footballer could have the opportunity to experience something similar.
Signing her first professional contract with Independiente was a dream come true for Camila, and she dedicated the moment to her family, thanking them for always being by her side.
