Elexa Bahr

She was born in the United States to a Honduran father and a Colombian mother.

She was eligible to represent the United States, Honduras, and Colombia at international level.

Before switching to Colombia’s senior national team, she played for the Honduras U-20 squad in 2015 U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.

Her soccer journey began at age two. Her dad, a former professional player for 15 years, gave her a soccer ball and encouraged her to play from the start.

Her dad has been her biggest influence, and she holds deep respect for him, which gets her emotional when talking about it.

Her dad played professional soccer in Honduras and Mexico and for the Atlanta Silverbacks.

She moved to Colombia to boost her career and connect with her roots.

The experience helped her learn about her culture and family history while also showcasing her skills to the national team. This led to her World Cup opportunity.

She was a part of Colombia’s history-making 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup squad that reached the quarterfinals of the tournament for the first time.

She enjoys watching movies.

She earned a bachelor's degree in Hospitality Administration from the University of South Carolina.

She worked as a wedding planner intern.

She ran track in high school.

Her brother, Alex, played in the Atlanta United and New York Red Bulls academies.

She has two dogs, Bubba and Benji.
