Fun Facts about Maja

Discover more than stats. Get more of who she is.

Maja went from being one of the slowest players on her childhood team to winning school sprint competitions — and ended up falling in love with running along the way.

Maja’s love of football began with El Clásico: as a little girl, her dad showed her the famous rivalry and later became her first coach.

One childhood tournament still sticks with Maja because she was the only player on her team who failed to score — a memory she says she will never forget.

Ewa Pajor is especially inspiring to Maja because she showed her that a girl from Poland can move abroad and become one of the very best in the world.

Maja connects her move to Wolfsburg with Walt Disney’s message that dreams can come true if you have the courage to pursue them — a motto she genuinely believes in.
