Nerea Nevado Gómez is a Spanish professional footballer who plays mainly as a left back.

Did You Know?

Nerea was part of Spain’s U-17 team that won the 2018 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup in Uruguay.
She began playing football at age 7 in her hometown club, Santurtzi, often the only girl in a boys' team.
Athletic Club Dream: Nerea joined Athletic Club's youth system in 2016. She recalls, “I went from watching games with my dad at San Mamés to playing there myself.”
Loan Spell at Alavés: In 2021, she was loaned to Alavés to gain first-team experience. Living away from home and adapting to a new environment helped her mature both as a player and a person.
As a child, she was the only girl in a boys' team at Santurtzi. Her coach recalls her exceptional attitude and determination.
The pen her mother gave her during her communion, with the inscription “Only you can write your best story,” became symbolic when she used it to sign her first professional contract.
She received a recognition for her performances in Liga F in the season of 2023/2024 as the recognition player of the year.
