RCD Espanyol Femení (Real Club Deportivo Español) is the women's football section of RCD Espanyol and was founded in 1970. They compete in the Primera División, also known as Liga F (formerly Superliga), the top tier of the Spanish women's football league. Its honors include one Superliga title, six Copa de la Reina titles, and five Catalonia Cups.
Sara Monforte Mestre is a Spanish retired football midfielder and the current manager of the RCD Espanyol's women's team. She retired from her playing career in 2018 and began her coaching career the same year with Villarreal CF Femenino, leading the team to promotion to the top tier. In 2023, she became the head coach of RCD Espanyol Femenino in the Primera División (Liga F).
