La Princesa
Autumn 2026 Rules
These rules apply to the Autumn 2026 voting period. By voting, you agree to these terms.
Player eligibility
- Each season features 44 nominated players under 19: 11 goalkeepers, 11 defenders, 11 midfielders and 11 forwards.
- Only players nominated by the QueenBallers editorial team are eligible.
- Nominated players are active in a professional or semi-professional women’s league during the current season.
- Nominated players have featured in at least five competitive matches in the nomination window.
- Nominated players are not currently suspended or retired.
- Nominations are reviewed before each season opens and may be updated if a player becomes unavailable.
- Players may be removed from the ballot if they retire, are suspended, or become otherwise ineligible during an active voting period.
Country balance
- No more than 6 players from a single national team may appear on the ballot in a given season.
- The editorial team may adjust the nomination list to maintain geographic diversity.
- Country balance is applied at nomination time and does not affect votes already cast.
How voting works
- Each voter submits one ballot per season: one player for each of the four positions (GK, DF, MF, FW). All four picks are required.
- The player with the most votes in each position becomes the positional winner. The player with the most votes overall is crowned the La Princesa All Star.
- The ballot is submitted on the La Princesa hub and confirmed by e-mail. One confirmation counts all four votes.
- An unconfirmed ballot is not counted. Confirmation links are time-limited and expire.
- Voting for Autumn 2026 is open from 20th October 2026 to 10th December 2026.
Anti-abuse measures
- One e-mail address may confirm one ballot per season. Duplicate submissions are discarded.
- Votes from known proxy networks or disposable e-mail providers may be disqualified.
- QueenBallers reserves the right to exclude votes that show patterns of coordinated manipulation.
- Winners may be reviewed and withheld if abuse is detected after voting closes.
Winners & prizes
The player with the most votes in each positional category — Goalkeeper, Defender, Midfielder and Forward — becomes the winner of that category. The player with the highest number of votes overall across all four categories is crowned the La Princesa All Star.
Each positional winner, as well as the La Princesa All Star, will be awarded an official La Princesa winner’s prize in recognition of their achievement.
The results will be announced on the QueenBallers website and social media channels within seven days after voting closes.
Following the announcement, QueenBallers will contact the winners’ agents by e-mail to arrange the prize delivery and related details.
Prize for voters
- One voter is drawn at random from all confirmed ballots and wins a shirt signed by Smilla Holmberg.
- The draw takes place within 14 days of the voting period closing, in the Instagram stories of @queenballers_com.
- The winner is also contacted at the e-mail address used to confirm their ballot and has 14 days to respond. If they do not respond, a new winner is drawn.
- The prize cannot be exchanged for cash. Any taxes or import duties are the responsibility of the winner.
