Football for Better or for Worse

A character driven documentary about FC Rosengård - one of the best football teams in the world. We follow the team with players from over 10 different countries, during a dramatic year of both glory and defeat on the pitch, but also in their struggle to survive in a tough economical situation. This year the club gets a new sports director, a former player in the team, Therese Sjögran. How does it work to be boss over her old team mates? How does she handle all the different matters a sports director has to deal with - everything from scouting new talents, fixing a player's broken internet connections late Saturday night or handling an other player's panic disorder late another night? The managing director Klas Tjebbes becomes her new boss, and we share his frustration over UEFA and their way of dividing money between women and men football teams in the Champions League. Is it really reasonable that the women get 0.2% of the money?! We'll also meet Marta, voted to be the best woman footballer in the world, 5 years in a row... but not even a top world football super star like her, can feel safe knowing that her life after her career is financially ensured. By the end of the day, it's clear that the conditions in woman football of today is a result of structures in society. It all boils down to being a gender issue.
