Euro day four. Which players to watch today?

The fourth day of the European Championship is teeming with world football stars! Seven players who have won the Champions League will take to the pitch: Dutch goalkeeper Daphne Van Domselaar and midfielder Victoria Pelova. From the English squad, there are captain Leah Williamson, Beth Mead, Chloe Kelly, Lotte Wubben-Moy, and Alessia Russo. In addition, Dutch star Vivianne Miedema has the chance to celebrate her 100th goal for the Dutch national team against Wales today. There's a lot to look forward to.

Netherlands - Vivianne Miedema

As mentioned in the introduction, today's pick from the orange team is the star Vivianne Miedema. Although she has been injured for a long time, she showed that she is in good form with two goals against Finland in preparation for this tournament. The long-time Arsenal stalwart transferred to Manchester City last season, where her goal-scoring streak continues. She has scored 7 goals in 11 games.

Wales - Sophie Ingle

If there's one thing we're really curious about, it's how Sophie Ingle will perform at the Euros. She was included in the squad for the World Cup, Wales' first ever, despite missing the entire season due to an ACL injury. The experienced player, who has worn the jerseys of both Chelsea and Liverpool, was nominated for the Puskas Award in 2020.

France - Sakina Karchaoui

PSG stalwart Sakina Karchaoui will defend the French goal against the Lionesses of England. The young but experienced player has proven many times that even the most experienced strikers struggle to get past her tackles. In addition, she forms a partnership in the French defense with Elisa De Almeida, with whom she has a good chemistry at club level.

England - Alessia Russo

The WSL's top scorer this season, winner of the Champions League, hot favorite for the Ballon d'Or, and tipped by many (including The Guardian) to be the top scorer at Euro. The striker will want to extend her scoring record as much as possible.
