Alexia Fernández Díaz is a Spanish footballer who plays as a forward for Liga F team Granada CF, on loan from Atlético de Madrid.
In the 2015–16 season, she won the league with Rayo Vallecano’s girls’ team, defeating 12 boys' teams along the way.
She signed for Atlético de Madrid C in 2019 and made her first appearance with the senior team in a friendly match in Turkey in 2020.
During the 2022–23 season, she played a key role for Atlético de Madrid B, helping them earn promotion to the Primera Federación.
She began playing football by chance when she joined a boys-only football camp just to be with her brother. The coaches were so impressed by her that they encouraged her parents to sign her up for a team.
Granada is her first experience living outside her family home. She shares an apartment with two teammates and admits she misses her grandma’s cooking the most.
Despite being a professional athlete, she’s studying Business Administration (ADE).
She admires Alexia Putellas and dreamed of playing against her.
She loves reggaeton and flamenco.
