Carolina Ceniza Velásquez is an Argentine footballer who plays as a defender, primarily on the left side. She has represented Argentina at U20 level and has also been called into the senior national-team set-up.
Before becoming a River first-team defender, she was selected for Argentina's youth national futsal programme. At only 14, Ceniza was called into the Argentina U18 women's futsal set-up in 2021.
Although she is now primarily a defender, Ceniza was once one of River's most prolific youth goalscorers. She scored 25 goals in the 2023 AFA U16 season, finishing third in the category's scoring chart.
Ceniza was already being chosen as one of the faces of River's clothing campaigns at 16. She appeared alongside Annika Paz and men's first-team players in the club's 2023/24 alternative-kit launch.
Helping younger girls see a future for themselves in football matters to her. During a 2025 visit to Comodoro Rivadavia, Ceniza highlighted how happy it made her to see more girls playing and expressed the hope that young players could identify with women like her and believe their own dreams were achievable.
She made Argentina's 2026 FIFA U20 Women's World Cup squad at only 19 and went straight into the starting XI.
