Simonetti is a lifelong Roma native, born in the capital and raised in a footballing environment that shaped her early development in the sport.
Her senior career began extremely early, making her debut for Roma CF as a teenager before the age of 15.
She briefly moved abroad to Switzerland in 2016, signing for FC Neunkirch, but returned to Italy shortly after due to homesickness.
Football runs in the family: her brother, Pier Luigi Simonetti, is also a professional footballer in Italy.
Beyond football, she has a strong passion for cooking and food culture, which she has described as something she grew up around thanks to her father’s work in the restaurant industry.
She turned that passion into a business venture, opening her own restaurant in Rome named “Da Simonetti” in late 2025.
She has been part of Italy’s youth national teams and won both European and World U17 bronze medals in 2014.
