Jacqueline Meißner (née Klasen) is a German professional footballer who plays as a right-back for Frauen-Bundesliga club SGS Essen which she also captains.
She started playing football in Dortmund and played in boys' teams for the first few years.
She made her Frauen-Bundesliga debut for SGS Essen in 2011, at the age of 17.
She is a trained wholesale and foreign trade clerk.
In September 2021, she married her long-time partner and took her wife’s last name.
She works in her family business alongside playing because she can’t live solely from football income.
Her pre-game ritual is to always have a coffee before home matches and she also insists on leaving the dressing room last.
She enjoys reading as a way to unwind and switch off from football and work.
She wants to travel extensively after her career, especially walking along Portugal’s Algarve coast.
