Nelly da Cruz Rodrigues is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a full-back for Première Ligue club Nantes and the Portugal national team.
Though she plays for the Portuguese national team, she was actually born in France, in Soisy-sous-Montmorency.
She was part of the Nantes side that finished in the promotion places in D2 and secured the club’s first-ever season in Arkema Première Ligue in 2024–25.
Among all PSG academy players, she placed 2nd in the 2021 Titi Girl d’Or – a fan and club-media award for the best young Parisienne – behind Manssita Traoré.
She captained PSG’s U19s before turning pro.
She holds both French and Portuguese nationality.
In a Portuguese interview she laughed that her Portuguese “isn’t that good” because she was born and raised in France.
