Abelleira started playing football as six years old. Her interest began when she visited football trainings of her five years older brother
Abelleira didn't make it to the Spain squad on UEFA EURO 2022 at first, but before the tournament her teammate Salma Paralluelo was injured and thanks to it Abelleira received call up to the squad
She was born in Pontevedra, a city in the autonomous community of Galicia, in northwestern Spain. In 2016, Abelleira even played for Galicia national team
Abelleira won the FIFA World Cup 2023 with Spain. She played in all 7 out of 7 Spain's matches at the tournament
Besides football, Abelleira played futsal. She became Spanish and Galician futsal champion in the Under-16 category in 2016
In 2017 in Deportivo la Coruña, she became the first player ever to sign a professional contract in Galician football history alongside her teammate Raquel Béjar
In 2020, Abelleira joined Real Madrid women's side right after its creation.
