Carolina Marín De la Fuente is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Liga F club Espanyol.
She began her senior career with Levante UD B in the 2012–2013 season and progressed to the first team by 2014.
She led Espanyol to promotion to the Primera Federación in the 2021–2022 season.
She holds a degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences.
As a child, she was once told she couldn't join a football team just because she was a girl. Today, she is captain of RCD Espanyol’s women’s team in Spain’s top division.
She started playing at Fútbol Base Sagunto at age 6, climbed through Levante UD’s youth system, and debuted in the top tier at just 17 years old.
She’s a vocal advocate for greater visibility, sponsorship, and support for women's football, stressing that young girls now have more role models and opportunities than ever before.
She got married in July 2024.
