Cora Nevena Zicai is a German footballer who plays as a forward for VfL Wolfsburg in the Frauen-Bundesliga and the Germany national team.

Cora grew up playing football with her brothers and friends starting from the age of 5. That’s where her passion for the sport began at.

Cora became the youngest Freiburg's Bundesliga goalscorer after scoring a goal against Duisburg in 2021.

Her father, like the rest of the family, is very supportive of her career, offering advice and analyzing her performances after games.

At the end of her career, she would have loved to play in England, and at FC Barcelona, of which she was a fan since she was a child.

On 29 November 2024, the day of her 20th birthday, she made her senior international debut against Switzerland and scored her first goal.

Her mother, a former pentathlete from Bulgaria, instilled in her a strong sense of discipline and perseverance from an early age.

She loves to travel and tries to see as much of the world as possible during every summer break from football.

Role models for her are Jule Brand and Caroline Graham Hansen.

In 2024, she was named Sportsperson of the Year by the city of Freiburg.

Cora loves relaxing on the beach and taking in a beautiful sunsets.
