Emma Moreno

Emma signed her first professional contract exactly one week after her 16th birthday, saying that she wanted to continue growing both as a footballer and as a person.

Emma joined Atlético Madrid at only eight years old, meaning she spent more than half of her life at the club before leaving for her first full senior season with Eibar.

Emma was chosen to represent Atlético’s female academy at the laying of the first stone of the club’s new Ciudad del Deporte. A Polaroid from the ceremony was sealed inside a time capsule buried beside the stone.

Emma’s first Liga F goal for Eibar came against Atlético, the club she had represented since childhood. She did not celebrate and appeared visibly emotional after scoring.

Emma’s career began in defence, but she later developed into a remarkably versatile player capable of operating at full-back, in midfield and across the forward line.
