Francisca Castro

Castro has collected major youth silverware with SC Braga, winning the Taça Nacional Feminina Sub-19 in 2023/24 and the Liga Feminina Sub-19 in 2024/25.

Her older sister Ana was the reason she first wanted to become a footballer. Watching her sister play made Castro want to follow the same path.

Football has always been her escape from school, a place where she can switch off and feel relief from everyday pressures.

Her advice to girls who dream of playing football is simple, never stop fighting for it or believing it can happen.

Her next major international ambition is to reach Portugal's senior national team.
