Rita Melo

Melo joined the CLIP football academy at around seven or eight years old and spent part of her development playing in mixed teams.

Her development at CLIP included playing in a mixed U15 team with boys, rather than only in girls' football.

Her first Liga BPI start was unforgettable. Melo scored twice against Damaiense and was named Player of the Match by the Portuguese Football Federation.

Before becoming a Portugal youth international, Melo represented the Porto Football Association district team at the Interassociações tournament.

Her group once won a national-team camp choreography competition after choosing the children's song “Sou uma Taça” by Panda e os Caricas.
