Luana appears to have had a multi-sport childhood, winning an Infantis A BTT-XCO mountain-bike event in Paredes in 2018 at the age of 10.
Her hometown recognised her achievements early. Luana was among the footballers honoured at the 2023 Paredes Sports Gala, which celebrated athletes from the municipality who had distinguished themselves during the previous season.
