Julia Nicole Lester is an American professional soccer player who plays as a defender for Seattle Reign FC of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL).
She majored in Family, Youth and Community Sciences at the University of Florida.
She played for Apollon Ladies in Cyprus after college, where she captained the team, competed in the UEFA Women's Champions League, and was named to the league's Best XI in 2021.
She is from Tampa, Florida, and misses the beaches there.
She’s a big ice hockey fan, especially of the Tampa Bay Lightning.
If she weren’t a soccer player, Julia would want to be an astronaut — she loves space and stars.
Her soccer journey began during summer camp, playing casually with camp counselors.
She didn’t start playing soccer until around age 9, after asking her mom three years in a row to sign her up.
