Did You Know?

Kathrine Spanner began her football journey at the age of three in Salling near Hadsten before moving to Aarhus as a teenager to join Skovbakken’s youth setup.

Her father played a major role in her early football years, with the pair spending many hours playing together both outdoors and inside the house.

Spanner’s path through Aarhus women’s football has included the transition from Skovbakken to VSK Aarhus and later AGF’s women’s programme.

She suffered a serious knee injury in 2020 when she tore her ACL, beginning a long rehabilitation period before returning to competitive football.
