Rasheedat Ajibade

She began playing football at six or seven years old on the streets of Mushin, Lagos.

Her childhood home was part of a compound occupied by more than 100 people and she shared a small room with ten people.

She sold Nigerian drinks such as kunu and zobo, and washed communal toilets and bathrooms to earn money.

She started playing without proper football boots or a good jersey, which later inspired her to provide equipment to young Nigerian players.

Atlético Madrid once surprised her by flying her mother to Spain for a match—the first time her mother had watched her play live—and Ajibade scored for her.

She's known by the nickname "The girl with the blue hair."

She has two degrees: one in Accounting and another in Sports Psychology, with the second completed during the COVID-19 lockdown.

She hosts the Rash4Christ podcast, which focuses on football, life and Christian faith.

Ajibade owns RASH, a personal clothing and merchandise brand built around her football identity.

Her annual #StandOutWithRASH campaign gives visibility, equipment and prizes to emerging grassroots players in Nigeria.

Before becoming an international forward, Ajibade won Nigeria’s national freestyle-football competition and later successfully defended her title.
