Jackie Noëlle Groenen is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Première Ligue club Paris Saint-Germain and the Netherlands national team.
In addition to football, she has had a successful career in judo. She is a three-time Dutch champion in the under-15 category. She has also won successes, including gold medals, in the under-17 category.
At 17 she had to end her successful judo career in favour of football.
She plays for the Netherlands but was born in Belgium. She wanted to represent Belgium on senior level but FIFA blocked her attempts because she did not have a Belgian passport when she played for the Netherlands' youth teams.
Her older sister Merel is also a footballer. She used to play for Belgian women's football team Lierse SK.
She likes to read and always takes a book with her.
