Danique van Ginkel is a Dutch defensive midfielder and the captain of FC Twente in the Vrouwen Eredivisie. She has represented the Netherlands at youth international levels.

She has studied Nutrition and Dietetics, alongside football.
She tore her ACL in 2022. Looking back, she said the biggest lesson from the injury was “be careful with your body.”
Her goal is to play abroad in the long-term.
