Stella Nyamekye is a Ghanaian professional footballer who plays as a forward for National Women's Soccer League club NJ/NY Gotham FC and the Ghana national team.
She captained Ghana at the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup, scoring two goals and providing one assist in the group stage.
She was nominated for the CAF Young Player of the Year award in 2024.
She began her career with Dreamz Ladies in 2021 and helped the team earn promotion to the Ghana Women’s Premier League in 2022.
She is not just a player—she’s also an aspiring coach. She earned her CAF License D coaching badge at just 16 years old.
She urged other young female players to take coaching courses, noting the lack of female coaches and encouraging others to break that barrier.
She is one of the youngest players at Gotham FC.
