Zofia Pągowska

Pągowska's football story began on a courtyard in Łowicz, where she played with her brother and his friends before moving into organised training.

Football was not her only childhood sport — she was also a successful minbasketball player at school. At 11, Pągowska helped Primary School No. 7 win the 2018 Łowicz Minibasketball Cup, with her girls' team finishing first in the tournament.

Her reaction to receiving a place in Poland's 2026 U20 World Cup squad was an immediate “ear-to-ear smile” — followed by the thought that she now had to work even harder.

Her 2024 season included both a European bronze medal in Sweden and a World Cup quarter-final in the Dominican Republic.

She was already playing organised club football at nine years old. A 2016 local archive lists Pągowska in Pelikan-2007 Łowicz's squad for regional youth competition.
