Oliwia Woś is a Polish professional footballer who plays as a defender for German club 1. FC Nürnberg and the Poland national team.
She has dual Polish-German nationality.
She was born in Olesno, Poland, but raised in Germany from a young age.
As a college player in the U.S., she played for Wake Forest in 2018, then for Indiana University 2019-2022; in 2020-21 she played every minute of every match for the Hoosiers and helped produce record shutouts.
She was once offered the chance to join Germany’s youth national teams but firmly declined, saying she only wanted to play for Poland.
After turning 18, she moved to the United States to study, travel, and experience a different culture.
She is known by the nickname “the wall.”
She graduated from Indiana University Bloomington in 2022 with a Liberal Arts degree and a minor in Media and Theatre.
Her childhood idol was Lukas Podolski while her current one is Haaland.
Her favorite club since childhood has been Bayern Munich.
Her dream club to play for is Arsenal, though she admits she is not yet at that level.
