Krystyna’s football story started almost by accident: while out for a walk with her parents, she spotted a training session, told her dad she wanted to play too — and the very next day she was at her first training.

Before focusing fully on football, Krystyna was also a prolific handball player, scoring 58 goals in just 12 matches for UKS 1 Ziębice and later being named Player of the Tournament as her team won the nationwide Gór Sowich Cup in 2019.

She was a genuine multi-sport kid: Krystyna competed in running as well as football and handball, even finishing second in an international 1,100-metre race in Austria.

Her hometown has followed her career unusually closely: Krystyna was named Ziębice’s Junior Athlete of the Year three years in a row.

Moving abroad with Juventus became a personal lesson as much as a football one — Krystyna says the experience taught her patience.
