Aiara Agirrezabala Azkue is a Spanish footballer who plays as a defender, most often at left-back. She has represented Spain from youth level through to the senior national team.
Berastegi shaped her early football world: in her hometown, it was basically frontĂłn or football.
She did not grow up obsessed with becoming a pro - at 10 to 12, football was mostly about pure fun.
Before Real Sociedad took over her schedule, she also did dance and played pala.
Her brother helped pull her into the game, because she started by playing around with him.
Off the pitch, she has a clear career idea already: she wants to study nursing and later specialise as a midwife.
The name of Aiara Agirrezabala has appeared strongly in the elite of Spanish football after her great breakthrough in Liga F. The young Real Sociedad academy player broke the ceiling of the elite and made her debut in the 25/26 season with a brace in less than 45 minutes on his first matchday league against Madrid CFF. In addition, this made Aiara the youngest player to score a brace in the history of the competition at the age of 16 years and 133 days.
