Aila Santana Carneiro is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a defender.
She is a historic figure for Bahia, having proudly become the first player to ever reach the milestone of 100 matches for the "Mulheres de Aço" women's team.
She originally started her career playing as an attacker, but was shifted to defense by a former coach while playing in mixed teams.
She successfully adapted to her new role, even winning an award for the best defender in the Bahian regional tournament in 2019.
She spent the 2022 season representing Atlético Mineiro, where she helped the "Vingadoras" capture the Campeonato Mineiro title before returning home to Bahia in 2023.
