Maria Clara

Before joining Palmeiras at 17, Maria Clara helped Sport Recife win the Pernambuco U-17 Championship in 2025 and was part of the club's state-title-winning senior squads in 2024 and 2025.

Maria Clara earned her first call-up to a Brazil Women's U-20 training camp at just 16 years old after impressing with Sport Recife. Maria described it as the realization of a dream she had worked hard to achieve.

Maria Clara thanked her mother publicly, describing her as one of the people most responsible for helping her reach the national-team level.

After signing for Palmeiras, she began living in São Paulo, meaning she relocated more than 2,000 km from her hometown before turning 18. She has spoken about the sacrifices required to leave her hometown and pursue football opportunities.
