Andressa Cavalari Machry is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a midfielder. She has represented Brazil women's national football team at youth and senior international level.
Football runs in the family as her father, Elizeu Machry, was also a footballer and her love for football began while accompanying her father to local matches as a young girl.
One of her childhood dreams was simply to train at Brazil's famous Granja Comary national-team training center; she achieved that dream as a teenager after earning a youth national-team call-up.
An ACL injury ruled her out of the 2023 Copa Libertadores Femenina final, forcing her to miss one of Palmeiras' biggest matches despite helping the club reach the title match.
Fishing was one of the activities she enjoyed doing with her father when she was growing up.
When she was young, her family regularly traveled by motorcycle to training sessions and matches in other cities.
Her footprints were permanently cast and displayed in the local sports gallery of Roque Gonzales' cultural center as a tribute to her achievements.
A Brazilian rapper, Luciano D10, released a song called "Princesa Andressinha" in her honor in 2017.
