Tainá José Lopes is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a forward. She represents Brazil at senior international level.
She inherited the nickname "Maranhão" from her father, former professional footballer Alex Maranhão, instead of using her family surname on the pitch.
Before focusing on football, she practiced artistic gymnastics as a child. She eventually chose football after following her father's career and discovering her passion for the sport.
Her senior Brazil debut fulfilled a childhood dream of representing her country. On her official Instagram, she described wearing the senior national team shirt as something she had imagined since playing football in the streets and local pitches as a child.
She enjoys spending time at the beach, where footvolley is one of her favourite ways to stay active away from regular football training.
