Flavia Lorena Benítez is an Argentine footballer who plays as a midfielder. She has represented Argentina at youth and senior international level.
Benítez's father, who is Paraguayan, hoped she would play for Paraguay, but an Argentina youth national team call-up at age 13 convinced her to wear the Albiceleste shirt instead.
Before focusing entirely on football, she built an impressive career in futsal. She was named the best women's futsal player in Argentina in 2018 after receiving the Premio Alumni, and she was later nominated for the Futsal Planet Awards.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, she helped deliver food to community kitchens and vulnerable families in Argentina while balancing football and work.
In February 2021, she suffered a serious ACL injury while representing Argentina at the SheBelieves Cup, ruling her out for around six months and forcing her to miss the 2021 Copa Libertadores Femenina.
Just weeks before the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup, Benítez became a mother to twins Renata and Ezequiel with her partner, Verónica Rivero, delaying her arrival to Argentina's training camp so she could support her family. The couple later welcomed their youngest child, Isabela, in 2024.
