Alyssha Renee Eglinton is a New Zealand footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder. She has represented New Zealand at youth international level.
She once became the hero in goal. After not playing goalkeeper for two years, Eglinton stepped back between the posts for a school final, saved two penalties and even scored one herself in the shootout.
Eglinton wore the captain's armband for New Zealand at the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup in the Dominican Republic.
Her World Cup debut included a Player of the Match performance.
Although primarily an attacking midfielder, Eglinton has also been deployed as a central defender.
Eglinton was part of New Zealand's victorious squads at both the 2023 OFC U-16 Women's Championship and the 2025 OFC U-19 Women's Championship.
