Did You Know?

She made her professional debut at just 16 years old for Brisbane Roar in a 1–0 win over Western Sydney Wanderers.
She was nominated for the W-League's Young Player of the Year award during the 2019–20 season, highlighting her early impact in Australian football.
Although born in New Zealand, she grew up in Australia from the age of 7 and holds dual citizenship.
She made a national team switch from Australia to New Zealand and debuted for the Football Ferns in September 2022, playing the full match against Mexico.
She represented New Zealand at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, appearing in all three group-stage matches.
Her switch to the New Zealand national team was sparked by a coach’s discovery of her background through a teammate’s tip-off.
Upon arriving in the Netherlands, she faced a chaotic start when her luggage was lost for two weeks, leaving her with only her carry-on items.
The biggest challenge she faces abroad is the time difference, which makes it hard to stay connected with family in Australia and New Zealand.
Although teammates say she's immature, she embraces the label because she enjoys making people laugh and keeping the mood light.
She began playing football at age 12, later than most professionals, after switching from rugby because she could no longer play with boys.
Her initial inspiration to play football came from her older brother, whose influence made her want to do everything he did.
Although she once dreamed of becoming an actress, Riley always knew she wanted to do something in sport.
