Cecilia Prugna started playing football at seven years old after growing up in a sporting family, with her parents encouraging her to try sport without limitations.
Prugna grew up playing for Castelfranco before becoming part of the transition that created Empoli Ladies, a move she described as an important step toward professional football.
She studied Discipline of Arts, Music and Entertainment (DAMS) at the University of Florence and completed her degree while playing football.
Photography is one of her hobbies, a passion she developed from her father, who often carried a camera with him.
Prugna enjoys reading and has named Umberto Eco’s The Name of the Rose as one of her favourite books
