Matilde Copetti was born in Tolmezzo, in the Italian region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, and started her football journey in the Tavagnacco youth system.
Copetti made her Serie A debut with Tavagnacco during the 2014–15 season after progressing through the club’s youth ranks.
The goalkeeper described her position as having the special feeling of being able to “fly,” highlighting the unique appeal of playing between the posts.
Before joining Parma, Copetti played for several clubs across Italy and Switzerland, including Tavagnacco, Ravenna, Napoli Femminile, AC Milan and FC Lugano.
Copetti joined Parma after leaving AC Milan, first arriving on loan before making the move permanent.
