Doménica Rodríguez

Football is in her family: Doménica is the granddaughter of Fausto Rodríguez and the niece of Javier Rodríguez, both former professional players in Ecuador.

She started playing at 11, then quickly built a demanding routine around it, training at night, studying in the morning, and doing homework in the afternoons.

She earned her move to U.S. college football by taking the initiative herself and sending out highlight videos to universities.

A full scholarship took her to CSU Bakersfield, where she pursued Engineering Science while continuing her football career.

She also represented Ecuador in futsal, not just 11-a-side football.

Her football references are a mix of local and global: Kerly Real and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Shirt number 8 matters to her because it became her number during her years in the United States, and she has said that is why she prefers it.
