Sandra Nabweteme is a Ugandan footballer who plays as a forward. She has represented Uganda at youth and senior level.
She started playing football at five years old and later started playing more seriously with boys.
Football runs in the family: her mother, Angela Nabukeera, played for Kampala United in the early 2000s.
Kawempe Muslim appealed to her mother because it combined football with discipline and strong schooling, which helped Sandra keep sport and academics together.
She became the first Ugandan female footballer to earn a scholarship in the United States.
Physics and Mathematics were her favorite classes long before university, and she later majored in Engineering Physics with a minor in Mathematics at Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
Lionel Messi is her role model for how he plays and carries himself, while Cristiano Ronaldo is the one she points to for work ethic.
