Karla García is a Mexican defender who has represented Mexico at the youth international level and has played for Atlas, Querétaro, and Atlético San Luis in Mexico.
Karla grew up in a footballing family where the sport was instilled in her by both her parents and her brothers from a young age.
She is the younger sister of fellow professional footballer Miriam García, while they played together as children, they later faced each other in the Clásico Tapatío.
Her sister Miriam describes Karla as having a stronger character than her, noting that Karla used to defend her if boys said anything to her during their street games.
When she and her sister played for rival teams (Atlas and Chivas), football became a "forbidden topic" of conversation between them to avoid conflict.
Before joining Atlas, she developed her skills playing for the "Leoncitas Negras" at the University of Guadalajara.
