Madison Pogarch is an American professional soccer player who plays as a defender for the Utah Royals of the National Women's Soccer League.
She played for two different colleges, Central Michigan and Rutgers, earning multiple defensive honors along the way.
During college summers, she stayed sharp by playing for senior semi-pro teams, even scoring a game-winning goal for Grand Rapids FC.
She went undrafted but still earned a professional contract with the Portland Thorns in 2019.
She is engaged to fellow NWSL player Christen Westphal, with their engagement announced in July 2024.
Her nickname is 'Po'.
She broke barriers in high school by becoming the first female kicker for Hartland High School’s American football team.
She also played basketball in high school.
During college, she spent Monday nights coaching 4- to 6-year-olds and teaching soccer to children with disabilities.
She helped organize a Special Olympics soccer clinic while playing at Central Michigan.
She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health.
She served as a Player Representative for the NWSL Players Association from 2022 to 2024.
She has three siblings.
While in Portland, Pogarch also organized a fundraiser for The Trevor Project, the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQIA+ youth.
Poe and Kristen's dog, Benny, plays a major role in their lives, especially in helping them get out of the house and feel happy.
Her favorite off-day food are donuts.
She and her partner foster dogs together.
