Caprice Ka'anohikula Dydasco is an American professional football player who plays as a right back for Bay FC of the National Women's Soccer League.
She is of Guamanian descent through her father and of Japanese, Chinese, and Korean descent through her mother.
Her brother played football for the United States Air Force Academy and her sister played for the University of Oregon.
In 2023, she surpassed 10,000 minutes played in regular-season NWSL matches, becoming the 32nd player in league history to reach that mark.
She was a four-year starter at UCLA from 2011 to 2014, appearing in 94 matches and contributing to the school’s 2013 NCAA Championship win.
In 2016, she suffered a torn ACL during the NWSL Championship match. She returned to play the following year after rehabilitation.
She married Adam Thomas on January 4, 2025.
She admired Lionel Messi when she was younger.
She comes from Honolulu, Hawaii.
She played on boys’ teams until the age of 10 due to the lack of organized girls’ football in Hawaii at the time.
Growing up, Caprice said she didn’t see athletes who looked like her in professional sports. This motivated her to be a role model for young Asian-American and Pacific Islander children, encouraging them to dream big.
In addition to football, she also tried swimming, dance, and horseback riding growing up.
