Emmie Allen is an American professional football player who plays as a goalkeeper for Bay FC of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). She played two seasons of college football for the North Carolina Tar Heels.
She grew up in High Point, North Carolina, and is the younger of two children.
She played both football and basketball in eighth grade at High Point Christian Academy.
She switched to online schooling in high school to focus on club football with the North Carolina Courage Academy.
After recovering from a knee injury, she played for the North Carolina Courage U23 team and reached the national final in the USL W League.
She is passionate about fitness and enjoys motivating others off the field.
She works with a sports psychologist weekly to strengthen her mental game.
Her confidence comes from her faith, which she says provides her with peace and stability.
She says she loves the sun and has a Instagram page called Sun Boss dedicated to photos of sunny days and sunsets.
She first became a goalkeeper by accident after moving to a new town and missing tryouts—because they needed a keeper, she volunteered.
