Morgan Lynn Messner is an American professional football player who plays as a goalkeeper for Portland Thorns FC of the National Women's Soccer League.
Besides soccer, she also did track and field in high school.
She began her college soccer career at Boston University and later transferred to Penn State.
She played in 7 games across her two years at Penn State. She did not concede a goal during her time as a Nittany Lion.
She earned a bachelor's degree in Earth and Environmental Science from Boston University and a master's degree in Management and Organizational Leadership from Penn State.
She made 12 saves in a single game vs. Princeton in 2019 — the most by a BU goalkeeper since 1997.
While a member of Penn State, Messner had her first club experience with the semi-professional USL W League affiliate of Racing Louisville FC during 2022.
