Caiya Hanks is an American professional soccer player who plays as a forward for Portland Thorns FC of the National Women's Soccer League.
She was born in Oakland, California, and moved to Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, at the age of five, where she began her soccer journey.
In high school, she excelled in both soccer and track, winning the state title in the 200-meter race during her senior year.
In the 2024 season, Hanks led Wake Forest to its first-ever NCAA Division I Women's Soccer National Championship final, recording 11 goals and 12 assists.
While in college, Hanks played during the summer for Tampa Bay United and Racing Louisville in the USL W League.
She loves the food and coffee scene in Portland.
She studied at Wake Forest University before turning pro.
Her strong start in the NWSL with the Thorns earned her a first spot to the U.S. Women’s U-23’s March “Futures Camp,” her first national team callup.
