Isabella Bryld Obaze is a Danish professional footballer who plays as a defender for National Women's Soccer League club Portland Thorns and the Denmark national team.
She began her professional journey with KoldingQ in Denmark at age 16.
She is of Nigerian descent.
She is the second ever Danish international to join the Portland Thorns.
She was thrilled to be included in the FIFA video game, after years of watching her brothers play it.
She started playing soccer at age eight, inspired by friends and classmates. She felt brave during her first game—it was a totally new experience for her.
After three seasons with Kolding, Obaze joined HB Køge, where she helped the Danish-side lift three consecutive league titles and advance to the UEFA Women’s Champions League Group Stage for the first time in club history.
