Laurel Carolyn Ivory is an American professional football player who plays as a goalkeeper for the Kansas City Current of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL).
She made 100 starts - the most in program history - at the University of Virginia.
She studied Women, Gender, and Sexuality at university.
She is engaged to Austin Katstra, whom she met at UVA in 2017; the couple announced their engagement in July 2024.
When she was younger, her idol was Ellen DeGeneres, partly because of Ellen's generosity and also because she voiced Dory, one of Laura’s favorite characters.
She is afraid of snakes.
As a child, she would dress up as Batman for Halloween several years in a row because he was her favorite superhero.
