Casey Grace Murphy is an American professional soccer goalkeeper for the North Carolina Courage of the National Women's Soccer League and the United States national team.
She began playing soccer at age 5 and became a full-time goalkeeper around age 10.
In high school, she played both soccer and basketball.
She holds the Rutgers all-time record for career shutouts (45) and is second in Big Ten history.
After forgoing her final year of college eligibility at Rutgers, she began her professional career in France with Montpellier HSC, where she was named to the D1 Féminine Best XI and recognized as the league’s top goalkeeper.
She saved Alex Morgan’s penalty in Morgan’s last career game.
She was part of the 2024 U.S. Olympic team that won gold.
Her husband, Chris Mirabelli, was a track and field athlete at Rutgers. They got married in 2023.
Standing at 6-foot-1 (185 cm), she is the tallest goalkeeper in USWNT history.
She started her own Goalkeeping Academy that inspires players to embrace challenges, build confidence, and take ownership of their development through supportive coaching and a focus on growth.
She studies Communications at Rutgers University.
Her favorite part of being a pro soccer player is traveling, meeting new people, and not having a typical job.

She has always hated losing, even as a child, and would throw away second-place medals.
